ISO 27001 Position Statement

DataHive’s operational and infrastructure control standards are governed under stringent DataHive policy and procedure processes to afford clients the opportunity to hold or acquire PCI-DSS, HIPA, SSAE 16 and SOC certifications and accreditations and to the extent that DataHive exceeds the requirements of these entities.

DataHive is one of nine data centers chosen to host Canada’s root DNS (the only one in Alberta). CCIRC has designated DataHive as one of the vital non-federal government cyber systems that underpin Canada’s national security, public safety and economic prosperity.

DataHive conforms with all ISO 27001 requirements, however, ISO uploads participants’ data to an insecure cloud. To protect client data and for other security reasons, DataHive decided against storing important security procedures on a public cloud which could be readily breached. DataHive has two Certified Ethical Hackers on staff. As a result, clients’ data have not been compromised in the past sixteen years. DataHive’s Operations Manual can be reviewed personally with clients who wish to discuss the procedures in greater detail.
